Excursion to the Rano Kau volcano, the ceremonial city and temple Vinapu Orongo
Orongo, a village or ceremonial center, located in the Rano Kau Volcano. In Orongo, you can find images of the Tangata Manu (birdman), Make Make (god) and Komari (fertility symbol). Vinapu, consists of two temples in ruins, whose similarity with the ruins of Machu Picchu is remarkable.

These ceremonial centers correspond to "Ahu" or platforms where they are or were settled the moai. One of the most spectacular is the Ahu Tongariki, consisting of 15 moai restored and are the largest ceremonial structure of the Island is a volcano Rano Raraku whose quarries were carved moai almost all that exist on the island since the top, you can have a breathtaking view of the 4 corners of the island as well as ceremonial centers nearby.

The Ahu Akivi, is a restored ceremonial center comprising 7 moai, Puna Paus is a quarry where the hats were carved the moai and Te Pahu is one of the largest caves in the island
